Good morning! I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving! Well, it's time for another Feature Friday at The Character Cafe! We're still using a splash of natural color this time, along with a little sparkle.
I chose to work with the Christmas lion again this week. I love that big, fluffy mane of his.
...sigh....electronics. I should have had this posted already, but my computer crashed Sunday night and I just got it back up and running late last night. Glad I had everything backed up on my eBook storage thingy majig (the technical term of course).
Anyhoo...on with the challenge! This week our theme at Creative Craft Challenges is "tag it". We wanna see lots of tags on those projects! I'm trying to get a scrapbook done for my mother-in-law in time for Christmas (fingers crossed). So, I decided to use some tags on my pages. Here's the first one, featuring pictures of my sister-in-law as a baby:
Good morning! I thought about a pretty good sentiment to go with this image (Festive Lion from The Character Cafe), but when I saw the card one of my DT Sistahs made, I just had to scraplift her sentiment! Thanks Nancy! I hope you don't mind that I borrowed it!
I guess my first order of business should be to announce my winner for the blog hop. I took out the comments left by my DT sistahs and a couple that were duplicates (whoops ;) and threw the whole lot at Mr. Random.org and he threw one back at me....so without further ado....the lucky winner of her choice of one of these new, easy to work with digis is............
Oh my ....this is gorgeous...excellent job coloring.....I love it....thank you for playing with us over at PCC....
Congrats Gloria! Pop me an email at greeneyedshoes at aol dot com and I'll forward your info to Shelley! Thanks for your sweet comment!
Now on to this fortnight's challenge. I chose to work with one of the new images that just came out, called Turkey Goes Wild. He definitely looks like the king of his castle, not to mention thankful he's not dinner. LOL.
Good morning! I can't believe I was chosen to be a guest designer for this week at Craft Your Days Away! Thank you girls so much! Well, the theme this week is Christmas Trees, and since I'm working on my Christmas cards, I made two cards for this challenge.
My first card features an image from The Hodge Podge Shop. This one took me, literally, 2 minutes and only 4 Copics to color and I think he just looks so sweet! I didn't have any actual gold paper or cardstock on hand, so I used a paint pen around the edges of some of my beloved Gina K. paper. I also used Gina K. for my embossing layers, so needless to say, this little baby has a bit of weight to her. LOL.
I used the gorgeous sketch over at Crafting Life's Pieces for this one. I think that's a very elegant and simple layout. Definitely one that's going in my sketchbook!
And here is my second card for my GDT role at Craft Your Days Away. This time I used an image from The Character Cafe. Doesn't this remind you of Christmas as a child? This is definitely one of my faves of the new releases this month!
Good Friday morning! This week at The Character Cafe, our challenge is to use a natural color on our cards, along with some embossing. A pretty easy challenge, dontcha think? So, no excuses not to join us this time around!
Now, before I forget...The winner of the image I used for last weeks blog hop....
This time, the theme for our challenge at Creative Craft Challenges is Starlight Starbright. Don't forget to check to see if you were a winner of one of the awesome prizes from our Anniversary Challenge!
I made these on Saturday with my hubby. He needed a bunch of cards for work and I told him I'd do it, but he'd have to help...and he did. Bless his little heart! I printed the stars out on the backside of my DP and he hand cut most of them. Hopefully now he'll buy me a Cricut for Christmas, since he's seen firsthand how desperately I need one! LOL.
Here are just a few of the cards we made up. They all have the same basic theme.
